If you are a private citizen and you want to dismantle your Fiat, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Fiat Professional, Innocenti, Autobianchi, Abarth, Maserati, Iveco, Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge vehicle, you have to be sure that this operation is done in an environmentally responsible manner.
If you want to buy a new vehicle, for the dismantling of your used car you may directly contact a dealer of the Group; otherwise you can go to a collection center belonging to the End of Life Vehicles network organized by Fiat Group to meet the current regulation related to vehicles recycling (Italian Legislative Decree 209/03), which pursues the prevention of waste generation and release of hazardous substances into the environment.
The free takeback, excluding the eventual transport fees and the vehicle cancellation costs from the Public Car Register, is guaranteed for complete vehicles, then not for those vehicles without the essential components (engine, body parts, catalyst and electronic control units) and/or containing additional waste (Article 5, paragraph 5 of Legislative Decree 209/03).
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has developed a dismantling facilities’ network that guarantees adequate coverage as requested by Legislative Decree no. 209/03. Companies are selected according to technical requirements and to treatment capability (fulfillment of recycling target and respect of legislative duties) and on basis on commitment about “ELV free withdrawal”, as requested by law.
Dismantling companies’ lists are available from the Brand websites (search for section “Servizi – Ritiro dei veicoli a fine vita/Services – ELV withdrawal) or directly from this attachment.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles faces environmental issues through design first. Evolution faced in the last years involves the choice of materials and components able to ensure for maximum recoverability and recyclability, as requested by Legislative Decree no. 209/03, Article 4 (“Prevention”).
Further, the ELV team cooperates with Sustainability Area. More detailed information are available at:

Eurostat publishes all data in a specific section dedicated to waste flows and, in this specific case, to End – of – Life – Vehicles.
Exposed data indicates, for each European Country, recycling target of materials constituting End of Life Vehicles, posted from 2006 to today (data published on 2014 refer to 2012).
